Dance With France follows the S.T.A.R.S. syllabus in our Jazz, Ballet, and Tap classes, for structure, discipline, and grading purposes. Our mission is to combine strong technique, passion, and performance quality.
S.T.A.R.S is based on the fundamental principles that are so very important to the development of a dancer such as flexibility, posture, musicality, technique, and knowledge of terminology.
It incorporates the strongest aspects of the Ballet Syllabus from London and the Canadian Syllabuses for Jazz and Tap Techniques, in addition to considering the dancer’s performance quality and passion for dance.
We follow the S.T.A.R.S. syllabus for our examinations and bring in a certified examiner every year, before the end of the dance season, to give feedback not only to our students but to our teachers and the studio as a whole.
We are confident that by implementing this structure to our classes, our students will show great improvements in their technique and overall performance as developing dancers.
